LOQO complies with Quebec's Law 25 on the protection of personal information in the private sector. You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data at any time.
LOQO is a rental matching platform based in Montreal, Quebec. We connect pre-qualified tenants with landlords. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at info@loqo.ca.
We collect information you provide when creating your profile, including: full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, employment status, income, rental history, occupant information, pets, and housing preferences. For landlords: name, email, phone, and unit details.
Your data is used to: create and manage your profile, match you with compatible units or tenants, send you account-related communications, and improve our platform. We do not use your data for advertising purposes and never sell it to third parties.
Landlords only see aggregated profile information of matching tenants — they never see your date of birth, SIN, or full financial details. Tenants only see posted unit details. Our subcontractors (Supabase for data hosting, Resend for emails) process your data only under our instructions.
Your profile is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your profile at any time from your dashboard. Your data will be erased within 30 days of deletion. Some data may be retained longer if required by law.
Under Law 25, you have the right to: consult the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, request deletion, and file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@loqo.ca.
We use industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption, secure authentication via Supabase, and restricted access to personal data. No system is foolproof, but we take the protection of your data very seriously.
We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the changes.
